London Underground Survey (Task3)

 My first step of the research is a public survey, sent to my friends, Facebook friends and their friends who live or used to live in London, and have used London Underground.

The purpose of the survey is to understand how people of different ages, and nationalities get around London Underground:
- how much time they spent on the tube;
- what they do during their commute;
- if they find tube easy or confusing;
- what they like and dislike about the Underground, etc.
 The results showed that people spend considerable amount of time (2-9h/week) traveling, while most of them either do nothing, or read books/newspapers/Kindle/iPad.
55% of respondents like the tube for it being fast and accessible. Large scale and simplicity of signs are among the most popular positives too. 20% of people enjoy reading on the tube.
62% of people consider Underground overpriced; 52% complained about carriages being over crowded.

Thus, to make people more satisfied with London Underground it is necessary to:
- either consider money side (make it less expensive OR provide free services that would make people think they are not over-paying);
- or work on the space issues (bigger platforms?; more trains).
